Zidane: “We played a good game”

Blanco boss acknowledges they will need to win two or three games in a row to get their confidence back

The Real Madrid manager, Zidane Zidane, spoke to beIN Sports after the game and praised the work his players had put in during the game against Numancia which, in the end, they drew 2-2. He pointed out that the most important thing was the fact of getting through to the next round.

“We qualified for the next round, which was the most important thing. We were up against a team that didn’t stop running, they wanted to play their game, a good game, and they managed to do that. We also played a good game. In the end, the most important thing was to get through the tie, which we did… Now, the important thing is to keep on working and thinking that we are going to do things right between now and the end of the seasons. We need to win two or three games in a row to get our confidence back”, the coach stated.

“I’m going to keep on working, too. I can’t be worrying about the criticism. It is out there, but nobody is going to stop me from doing my work”, he added.
